Dr. Scott joined Framingham Public Schools in July 2012 as the Superintendent of Schools. Prior to Framingham, he served as Superintendent in nearby Dracut, Massachusetts, where he held the top spot for two years after serving as Associate Superintendent in Montgomery County, Maryland. A licensed psychologist, Dr. Scott worked earlier as founder and president of the Center for Understanding Equity and principal at ExecResults Consulting. Dr. Scott holds membership in the American Association of School Superintendents and Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents. Dr. Scott specialized in Educational Consulting and Training, Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, Data Management and Diversity Training while President of the Center for Understanding Equity. Dr. Scott also has been a consultant with the Center for Creative Leadership, Center for Performance Assessment, Learning 24-7, and National Schools Conference Institute. Dr. Scott’s experience in developing a practice of organizational consulting, working with Fortune 500 corporations including BayBank, Nynex, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Milwaukee Public Schools, the University of Southern Florida and the Park School in Brookline, MA, holds great promise for the success of Framingham Public Schools. Dr. Scott holds a Ed.M. and an Ed.D. from Harvard’s School of Education in Counseling and Consulting Psychology. He received a B.A. in International Government with an emphasis in Spanish language and culture from Harvard College.
